Christmas is just around the corner, and you can already see the typical decorations in the markets for getting ready for the Christmas tree and the nativity scene. However, you can make these decorative items yourself with simple materials, such as this Christmas ball made with felt and polystyrene.
This way, you can save a little money and also spend an entertaining afternoon with the children making this craft to redecorate the house with Christmas motifs, such as this Christmas ball for the tree, typical of these holidays.
Materials
- Polyspan ball.
- Christmas red and green felt.
- Tie.
- Scissors.
- Needle.
- Hilo.

Process
First, we will make a small incision in the middle of the polystyrene ball to secure the chosen design, which will be a kind of mosaic in the typical Christmas colors, intense red and green.
Next, we'll draw the necessary markings to create the design we want for the Christmas ornament. In my case, I've divided it into 16 equal parts.
Next, we'll measure the felt for each piece and cut it out, making 8 red triangles and another 8 green ones . Using the craft knife, we'll make the respective incisions, without cutting all the way through, so we can insert these felt pieces.
Finally, once the Christmas ornament is complete, we'll make the bow to hang it on the tree. With a thin strip of ribbon, we'll make a bow and then attach another loop for hanging. We'll secure it to the Christmas ornament with a pin.
