It is a nice custom to send "Christmas" or Christmas cards to remind our friends and family that we love them and to congratulate them on the holidays.
Let's get down to work making some easy and pretty Christmas tree-shaped die-cut cards.
To build them we will need:
- Paper or cardstock to make the card
- Cutter and scissors
- Pencil and eraser
- Markers or colored pencils to our liking
- Preferably metal ruler
- A large plate and a smaller one
We will choose the size of the paper (normally an A4) taking into account that the final size will be the one that results from folding it in half in the form of a card.
We fold it so that the mark remains in half and then unfold. We draw a triangle ensuring that it is centered with the fold. This will be the size of our little tree.
Next we take the small plate and with a pencil we draw two lines from the top of the triangle and two lines using the large plate below. In this way we have the tree divided into 4 sectors.
Then with the help of a cutter we cut the curved lines that we have drawn, taking care not to hurt ourselves and not to spoil the cut. It is better if we have a cutting table or another surface that does not matter to leave grated.
When we have it cut out, we just have to fold carefully so that the tree is in relief towards the inside of the card.
We can decorate it with markers, draw Christmas balls, snow, stars and anything else we can think of.
If we are skillful with the cutter we can even make waves in the tree or cut it in another way as we see in the photograph.
We already have our personalized and very original Christmas.
