This craft is a great piece for you to recycle this Christmas. You will be able to create with a few pieces and with Christmas motifs a glass jar that you can use as decoration in any corner of the house. It will have a small vacuum inside so you can shake it and observe how the snow moves. You will love the cute shape of him!
The materials that I have used for the glass jar for Christmas:
- 1 large glass jar.
- Primer for metals.
- Red acrylic paint.
- Glossy varnish.
- 2 small branches in the shape of a pine tree.
- The cork of a bottle.
- White acrylic paint.
- Brushes.
- Artificial snow.
- Small golden stars.
- Hot silicone and his gun.
- Medium thickness jute rope.
You can see this craft step by step in the following video:
First step:
We paint the metal lid with primer paint and let it dry.
Second step:
Then we will apply a layer of red acrylic paint and let it dry. If it has been little covered, we can give another layer of red paint and let it dry again.
Third step:
We apply the spray gloss varnish. Before it dries we can add some golden little stars
Fourth step:
Paint the tips of the twigs in the shape of little trees with white acrylic paint. Cut the cork stopper in half.
Fifth step:
Let's pierce the corks so we can introduce the trees. We put a drop of hot silicone and put them in.
Step Six:
We put the trees inside the glass jar. To hold them we will apply a little silicone at the base of the corks, we introduce them inside the jar and glue them.
Seventh step:
We introduce into the jar the artificial snow and some golden stars. We close with the cover.
Eighth step:
We take the jute rope and we wrap it around where the lid joins. We will do about 8 laps and tie it and make a nice bow.
