Christmas tree it is the protagonist of all the living rooms of the houses on these dates. It is very difficult to get it to be original and cheap, because ornaments usually cost a lot of money. In this post I am going to show you how to make this Christmas wreath in a mini version with cardboard and very cheap materials.
Materials to make the Christmas wreath
- Cardboard
- A CD
- Scissors
- Glue
- Compass
- Pencil or marker
- Cold porcelain or any air drying paste.
- Eva rubber punches
- Cookie cutters
- Silicone molds
Process of making the Christmas wreath
- To begin with take a cd and mark on a cardboard like the one in the cereal box a circle.
- Then, use the compass to make one concentric to it, but make it a little smaller. Look at the picture.
- Cut out this piece and we will have a cardboard ring.
- Now let's line the crown with cloth. I have chosen red, but you can make it the color that you like the most or that suits your living room.
- Put points of glue from time to time to prevent the fabric from loosening and unraveling.
- Once finished, cut the excess and glue it well to hide the end.
- Now, I will do a star with cold china and a cookie cutter. You can replace cold porcelain with polymer clay or any paste you have at home, use it according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
- Before the star dries up I will make a hole with a stick or straw to be able to hang it later.
- Attach a cord or thread so you can hang it from the crown.
- Put some glue on the back and glue the star string. This is taking shape.
- Using silicone molds I have made a white flower and some green leaves to decorate the side of our crown.
- First I am going to glue the leaves and, on them, the white flower to give it a touch of elegance.
- I will continue to decorate the crown with some stars made with the hole punch and with silver colored eva rubber.
- Once glued, I will put a string of pearls to be able to hang it on the tree.
And, voila, we have finished our Christmas wreath. Remember that being mini, you can make several to decorate your Christmas tree.
See you at the next craft.
Bye!
