Bandana bib in printed fabric for babies.

Printed bandana bib

Hello everybody. Today I bring you a very nice tutorial to do and ideal for a detail for a baby.

As you know, bandana bibs have become very fashionable, we can find in almost all stores of baby products and is the complement that is not missing in the stroller or baby bag currently.

So today I will teach you how to make a bandana bib.

Materials

  • Cotton fabric.
  • Terry cloth.
  • Sanaps, buttons or velcro.
  • Thread and needles.
  • Pattern for the bandana bib.
  • Tape measure, folios. Marker, pencil.

Procedure for making a bandana bib

To begin what we have to do is make the pattern for the bandana bib. I have used a rectangle of 40 × 30 cm and I have cut diagonally taking out two triangles and then I have folded them in half to make them equal. Making the pattern is very easy, it is simply to draw the triangle as we would most like us to keep the bandana bib. The pattern may vary according to the preferences of each or also according to the age or the characteristics of the baby.

When we have the pattern the following is cut the cotton fabric and terry cloth. Also in this case the fabrics we use are optional, we can use double cotton fabric, or combine different fabrics such as terry and cotton, or polar and cotton or the combinations that you like the most.

In my case I have decided on this combination to give two utilities to the bandana bibOn the one hand, the cotton fabric will give us an aesthetic side and on the other side we will have terry cloth to absorb the babys of babies in teething period or simply the liquids that the baby could spill.

To cut the fabric what I did was baste the pattern onto the fabric and cut. To cut the terry cloth, what I did was baste the cotton fabric on the wrong side and cut the triangle to the exact size. When I had cut the two fabrics, I arranged them with the visible side facing inwards so that the sides would remain on the wrong side. outwards to sew them. We can sew the bandana bib by hand or machineIn my case I have used the sewing machine and I have sewn the two parts on the wrong side, leaving a hole in the upper part, that is, the part that will be behind the neck, to turn it over. Printed bandana bib

When we have the two parts sewn the next thing is to turn it around to the bandana bib and finish sewing the hole that we left, if we use the machine we can make a zigzag or invisible stitch for that piece and close it. Printed bandana bib

When I have finished sewing the bandana bib completely what I do is iron it to give it more shape and place the seams and the following place a clasp at each end or a piece of velcro as a closure for the bandana bib. In my case I have used snaps, which are plastic snap fasteners.

And we already have ready our bandana bib.

I hope my tutorial has served you and that you are encouraged to make a nice bandana bib and tell me about it.
