Bookmark or bookmark using the rest of the paper to die-cut some butterflies.

We are going to make a bookmarks using the rest of the die-cut paper in this case, some butterflies; but you can take any other way and create your own bookmark.

When we do craft work and use a die to cut out some shape, We always have a piece of paper where we have punched. In today's post I show you how to use it so that it does not go straight to the garbage and create a nice bookmark for our readings.

Materials to make this butterfly bookmark:

  • Rest of die-cut paper.
    • Note: you can punch some butterflies into a rectangle to make this bookmark.
  • Butterfly die.
  • Cardboard.
  • 3D adhesive.
  • Liquid glue.
  • Pink pen.
  • Drill.
  • Ribbon, lace.
  • Die cut butterfly.
  • Pink ink.

Step by step for the bookmark:

  • Cut a rectangle with the measurements you prefer. Leave a space at the bottom to be able to place the die-cut shape of a butterfly in another color.
  • Cut another rectangle out of cardstock of a different color and it gives a centimeter more in length and width.

  • Mark a fake stitched with the pink pen, along the contour of the die-cut paper.
  • Flip it over and place some 3D stickers, This will add volume to the bookmark.

  • Now, ink the largest rectangle around its outline.
  • Now place the die-cut paper leaving half a centimeter on each side both in length and width.

  • Finally decorate the bookmark. Glue the butterfly with liquid glue in the space reserved for her.
  • Punch a hole in the top, you can put a brat if you prefer, tie some ribbons that combine with the chosen colors, in my case a rose and some raw lace.

And you will have a super cute bookmark ready for you or to give as a gift now that book day is approaching. I hope you liked it and that it inspires you.
