We're going to show you step-by-step how to make a yo-yo-shaped bookmark , which, besides being practical, will add a touch of color to your reading.
Makings:
The materials that we are going to use are the following:
- A scrap of fabric, if it is stamped, the yo-yo will be more cheerful.
- Needle and thread.
- Scissors.
- Button.
- Glue gun.
- Mold for yo-yos.
Processing:
To make our bookmark in the shape of a yo-yo, we have to follow these six points:
- We place the fabric between the base of the mold and the disk and we cut it according to the image, removing the ends and giving it a circular shape.
- We sew with the needle and thread following the grooves in the base.
- We remove the base and the disc from the fabric.
- We pull the thread to make the gathering and we finish so that it does not loosen.
- We glue the yo-yo to a clip with the glue gun.
- We sew the button to the yo-yo. (We can do this step without cutting the thread to finish the yo-yo or we can glue it with silicone).
Note: if we do not have a base for yo-yo: we can cut a circle to the fabric and pass a gathering around it, we will pull the thread until a yo-yo is formed.
Well, we only have to enjoy a good afternoon of reading and place our original bookmark that we have made.
