Cardboard letters they are very fashionable but sometimes they are too expensive and we cannot acquire complete words. In this post I am going to teach you how to do decorative cardboard letters in an easy and economical way.
Materials to make the cardboard letters
- Cardboard
- Scissors
- Glue
- Decorated papers
- Decorative punches
- Colored eva rubber
Procedure for making cardboard letters
To start you need a cardboard rectangle the size you want to make the letter.
- Then with a marker or pencil draw the outline of the letter what are you going to do. I have chosen the L of my name.
- Cut out with scissors or cut the piece very carefully.
- Choose papers decorated with the designs that you like the most.
- Place the letter face down and draw the outline to cut it out at the decorated paperss and make the task much easier.
- I am going to choose two designs, but you can combine all you want.
- Once the papers are cut, I will stick them on top of the cardboard with hot silicone.
- Flip the letter over so you can see the excess paper and carefully cut it out.
- With a hole punch decorative strips I'm going to make one on dark blue card and stick it on the side of the letter.
- Now I'm going to form a flower with eva rubber fuchsia color. It is very easy, cut out a rectangle of eva rubber and form waves.
- Then roll it up and you will have a very easy flower to make.
- I'm going to do two different ones; one white and one fuchsia.
- Also with green eva rubber I'm going to cut two small leaves.
- All that remains is to glue the leaves and the roses, forming a combination that you like.
- To give it a touch of shine I am going to use some dots of eva rubber with silver glitter to stick them in the center of the flowers.
- And once the strip is decorated, we have the finished letter. Remember that you can make whatever you need and decorate it to your liking.
