Puppets is one of the more educational toys kids love. With them they can express their emotions and feelings and, in addition, they can create a theater atmosphere with the whole family to spend an afternoon of entertainment.
Puppets can be made with many materials, fabrics, spoons, wool, etc, but in this case we wanted to recycle some cardboard boxes that were at home to make these cute things. In addition, this is how we teach children the power of recycling and a good way to save money.
Materials
- Paperboard.
- Rope.
- Painting.
- Glue.
- Pencil.
- Scissors.
Process
Firstly, we will draw on the cardboard the different bodies that our puppets will have. In addition, we will also draw its limbs according to how we want it to be.
Then we will cut out each piece and we will put them together each one with its corresponding body. Also, we will draw and cut out a series of details (hats, ears, ties ...) so that our puppets have more personality.
Then, we will paste the details about the body of the puppet and we will make the corresponding holes in both the body and the extremities.
Then we will join the extremities to the body with a little rope, that I will be a little loose so that these can be moved.
Lastly, we will decorate the body and details with paint. Here children can unleash their imaginations to create their own puppets.
