Materials

  • Wooden or cardboard board
  • Tea candle
  • Polymer clay
  • Toothpick
  • Knife
  • Awl
  • Spray with water

Step by step

To make the penguin candle holder, you must start by creating the base , then model the figure and place it on it.

Candle holder base

  1. Cover your board or cardboard with white clay, applying a little water on it to make it adhere better.
  2. Glue the aluminum part of the candle on one side and remove the candle from it.
  3. Also cover the edge of the candle.

Penguin

  1. Create an egg with a black chunk.
  2. Create a ball with another black piece and glue it to the previous one.
  3. Make a blob out of white clay and flatten it. Stick it on the penguin's body.
  4. Make another drop, mark a line on the thick part and flatten it, there will be a heart. Stick it on the face.
  5. With an awl, make two holes where you are going to put the eyes.
  6. Insert two black balls and two smaller white balls into the eye holes.
  7. Create a drop of yellow and stick it as a beak on the face.
  8. Create another two drops for the feet, mark them two lines with the knife and glue them under the penguin.
  9. Another two drops, this time squashed, for the arms.
  10. Make the scarf in another color. Roll the clay to create a line and flatten them.
  11. Click the marshmallow made with white clay on the toothpick. and stick the toothpick between the arms.
  12. Glue the penguin onto the base.
