Cloth bags for closets, a homemade tissue freshener
The materials we will need are :
- Fabric of the motifs of your choice, it can also be smooth. The material is not important, but cotton is preferable
- Potpourri or dried flowers
- Adhesivo for fabrics
- An ruler
- Scissors
- Marker cloth
- A ribbon satin
- Elastics
- Liquid essence lavender, cinnamon, or your favorite scent
Step by step
First, we'll draw the measurements needed to create the fabric bags onto the fabric. These measurements are approximate and don't need to be exact.
We cut two pieces of fabric to create each tote bag. We cut as many pieces of fabric as we want; they can be different sizes.
We place the fabric pieces together and apply a generous layer of fabric adhesive . We position the two pieces and press them together. You can use clothespins to help them bond while the glue dries.
We also make a small hem at the top opening , so it looks neater. We repeat these steps on all the pieces of fabric until we have as many fabric closet bags as we want to make.
We let the adhesive dry completely, and when it's ready, we turn the fabric bags inside out.
We fill the cloth bags with the dried flowers or potpourri. Although they already have a scent, we add a few drops of liquid essence to make the smell more persistent and long-lasting.
