disk

Good morning friends of crafts, in today's tutorial I come with a DIY homemade Kumihimo disc. You can make all the ones you want and the size you want, it has been great for me on a birthday and make a craft for the boys and girls.

Kumihimo is a traditional Japanese braiding technique of silk threads to create colored cords. And a specific disk is used which can be in different ways. Today we are going to see how to make the homemade round disc ...

Makings:

  • Kumihimo disc template.
  • Foam Board.
  • Kuter.
  • Scissors.
  • Glue.
  • Fine-grained sandpaper.

Processing:

  • The first is download from the net a drawing of the Kumihimo album, There are many kinds and you can do it to the size you want. This is 15cm in diameter.
  • Paste the template on the foam board. begin to cut the contour of the disc with the kuter.

  • Continue through the inner circle. You can help yourself with a compass with a blade, but if you do not have it, you can do it by tapping with the tip of the kutter and at the end press, the circle will easily come out.
  • Make slits with the kutter on the lines where the numbers are.

  • Corner these crevices, as seen in the image.
  • With a fine-grit sandpaper, pass it around around the entire contour, including the inner circle.

And we will have the Kumihimo album ready to make our bracelets with the colors that you like the most. I tell you that even the children on their birthday tried to make their own bracelet, not only the girls !!!
