This craft is ideal for making costumes at home, to celebrate a birthday or to use the crown in a game and be worn by whoever wins it. The options are limitless! Only your imagination can stop the options. It is clear that making small and fun cardboard crowns can be very stimulating for children.
First, it is necessary to bear in mind that this type of activity is best done with children who already have sufficient motor skills to be able to cut. Later, You just have to be by their side so that everything goes well and they follow the instructions correctly.
Materials you need
- 1 cardboard roll (or more than 1 if you want to make more than one crown)
- Decoration material: stickers, colors, markers, paints, glitter ... whatever you want
- 1 scissors
- Glue
- 1 string or rubber
How to make the craft
Making this craft is much simpler than you imagine and if you look at the images you will see that it has no mystery. First you will have to draw the shape of the crown on the roll of paper as you see in the image.
Once you have it, you will have to cut it carefully so that it does not break, especially if the cardboard of the toilet paper is hard. Use good scissors for this, or a utility knife if an adult is cutting it.
Then decorate the crown however you like. We have put a little washi tape, we have decorated a little with markers and we have added beautiful shapes of eva rubber. But this is only indicative. You can decorate it however you want with the materials you have on hand.
Once it is decorated, take the rope or the elastic band to be able to attach it to the crown and to be able to put it on the head without falling. Measure the size of the rope or rubber according to the head of the person who is going to wear it. And put it on. We made a hole in each side and with the rope, a small knot to hold it well.
The fun little crown is ready!
