With Halloween just four days away, you've probably already planned everything for the big party everyone's been waiting for. However, this week we'll be sharing more Halloween crafts to keep you entertained with the kids.
These little ones have a blast with crafts, especially for holidays like Halloween. So today we're showing you a fun spider, a classic for this holiday, made with a polystyrene ball and straws from juice or smoothies.
Materials
- Polyspan ball.
- Wooden skewer.
- Eraser.
- Black paint.
- 6-8 Straws.
- Scraps of eva rubber in white, black and red.
- White glue.
Process
First, we'll stick the polystyrene ball onto the wooden skewer , and then the skewer into the eraser to secure it. We'll paint it black and let it dry.
Next, we will paint the straws on one side and let them dry. Then, when they are dry, we will turn them over and paint them on the other side, letting them dry as well.
Next , we'll cut the straws into a beveled edge so they'll fit better later. Then, we'll stick them into the polystyrene ball, adding a little glue to secure them.
Finally, using EVA foam, we will make two eyes and a mouth, attaching it to the painted ball with glue, adhesive or silicone, whatever you have on hand.
