How to make a paper butterfly

Materials to make a paper butterfly

Cardboard of the color you want for the body of the butterfly.
Crepe paper of the color you want for the wings. The ideal is to mix two colors.

Steps to make a paper butterfly

The first step to make a butterfly from crepe paper and cardboard is to draw the body of the animal as if it were an elongated eight and then cut it out with scissors. You will also have to make the antennas. You can draw them separately and glue them to the body later or make them in one piece next to the body of the butterfly. As you like best.
Then I take two pieces of crepe paper of different colors and fold them like an accordion. The next step will be to glue the crepe paper in the middle to the body of the caterpillar. You can put one piece on top of the other to shape the wings. Finally, open them.
Next, trim the wings a bit with the help of scissors. The effect we are looking for is that the upper wings are somewhat larger than the lower ones, without forgetting that we must try to ensure that the upper wings coincide with the lower ones.
Then you will have to make the butterfly face. You can paint the eyes and mouth using a marker or if you prefer you can just draw the smile because for the eyes you will use craft eyes glued to the head of the butterfly.

A large cardboard tube to cut out or two small tubes.
Fluorescent pink and orange acrylic paint.
A brush.
Yellow and pink cardboard.
Large pom poms in 4 different colors and a total of 8 (2 purple, 2 pink, 2 green, 2 blue).
Small pom-poms, in 2 colors (2 yellow and 2 orange).
Hot silicone and his gun.

Steps to make butterflies with cardboard and cardboard

First of all, we are going to paint the cardboard tubes with the help of some brushes and fluorescent orange and pink acrylic paint. We paint a different color carefully. Then let them dry and if necessary apply another layer of paint to set the tone well.
Next, place the cardboard on the cardboard to make the side wings and better hold the stockings when you draw them freehand. Trace two wings for each tube on each colored cardboard with different shapes to make the butterflies more attractive.
Then cut out the wings and take the glue to adhere them to the cardboard tube that will be the body of the butterfly.
