If you like crafts and you have a special occasion such as a communion, wedding or birthday and you are thinking of giving a detail to your guests, this tutorial can serve as inspiration ... we are going to see how to make a pencil with toparium step by step.
Makings:
- Pencil.
- Chalkboard paint.
- Brush.
- Decorated paper.
- Silicone.
- Scissors.
- Lace.
- Fine-grained sandpaper.
Processing:
The first thing we are going to do is change the look of the pencil, as they usually come with lines or colors that do not match our design.
- With chalkboard paint and a brush we will give a hand to the entire surface of the pencil and let it dry.
- We will carefully pass the sandpaper to make it very fine. If necessary, we would repeat this operation again, to leave a more professional finish.
Now we go with the decoration and the toparium:
- We will draw two hearts on the decorated paper and cut them out. We will take into account the chosen shades. In my case, I painted the pencil in mint color and the chosen paper is the same color with white polka dots. We can also use another cut shape: a circle, a star ... or even if we are going to make many, use several shapes, whatever you like.
- We will glue the shapes with the silicone on the upper part of the pencil. (It can be hot or cold, in my case hot because it hits at the moment).
- We will make a good lacing with lace, that will give it a more romantic look or with a ribbon ... depending on the effect you want to achieve: rustic with a rope loop and the shapes cut out in burlap; elegant with silver foil and satin ribbon ... here you have more ideas, it's all a matter of taste!
