Hello everybody. With the arrival of good weather and short clothes we can take advantage of customize certain garments that we do not finish fitting, that they are somewhat worn or simply to give them a new look and decorate them to our liking.
Taking advantage of the wardrobe change I have decided to give a new look to some pirates I had and decorate the bottom with a lace that I liked.
In this tutorial I show you how I have custom some pirates for this coming summer.
Materials that I have used to customize some pirates
- The pirates that I wanted to customize.
- Lace.
- Thread and needle.
- Scissors.
Procedure
The first thing I have done is measure leg circumference of the pirates and take the measure for the lace. Then i have cut the piece of lace I was going to use and then I have cut it in half for the length to obtain the two equal pieces, one for each leg and I have trimmed all the excess that the lace and the excess threads could have.
To follow what I did was present the lace to the pirates and start sewing by the upper edge. When I finished I continued along the lower edge and in turn was cutting out the protruding pirate fringes.
To finish off the pirate set, what I did was cut out some flowers from the lace and sew them in the pirates at the waist. Sewing them one by one in the place that I liked the most.
And as you see in the last photo the pirates have remained. We can use other materials to customize the pirates such as patterned or satin ribbons or scraps of fabric that we like.

I hope you liked and served the tutorial and that you are encouraged to do it.
