ideas for recycling plastic bottles

If something is left over for our planet, it is plastic. And if we lack something, it is to use plastic. From there, and looking for a natural balance, what better than to give it a function focused on nature from recycling a plastic bottle. With it, we are going to make a hanging pot where we can place our plants.

  1. We draw the profile with a marker of the bottle that we are going to cut out.
  2. With the help of the cutter, we pierce the bottle. Then with the scissors, we finish cutting the entire marked profile. So that it does not bend, when you reach a corner with the scissors, make a first stroke with the utility knife.

  1. We paint the bottle with a first coat of white paint. I didn't know whether to make it multi-colored or not. But since it is possible that I will introduce more of the same pots, I have decided to start this by highlighting the white.
  2. After a second coat of white, We can take advantage of the stripes (if you have them) to paint them of another color. I opted to make them a light blue, and then horizontal ones a darker blue tone.

And after letting it dry, the best remains! Now it can introduce the earth, and put the plants that we like. Then tie the string at each end of the bottle, with which we are going to hang the pot.

Many times, or almost always, the pots tend to have the small holes at the bottom, made so that the excess water goes away, and the water does not fill in excess. That can cause the roots to rot. However, I did not make holes in it, because I have put plant stems, that is, they do not have roots yet, and it is important that they are moist. Remember that depending on what you plant, it is better if it has holes or not. You are always on time to do them!
