Often when we go to grab our headphones to listen to music, we find them tangled up , and it takes us longer to untangle them than to actually listen to a song. That's why, so you can enjoy your music without wasting time, in this post we want to show you a simple way to store the cables and prevent them from getting tangled.
In the next post, we'll learn how to make a cable reel with a piece of plastic and some string. Easy, made with recycled materials, and practical. What more could you ask for?
Materials
- Plastic.
- A string.
- A perforator.
- Scissors.
- A pen.
Process
First, we'll draw an oval shape on the plastic, leaving one side unfinished. Then, we'll fold the plastic in half and cut out the oval shape, which will look like two "Siamese twins ." This will be the base of our cable reel.
Next, we'll use the hole punch to make holes on both sides and in the center of the plastic , as shown in the photo on the left. Then, we'll thread a cord through the holes on the sides to close the cable reel.
It is important that the central hole is large enough to allow the headphone plug to pass through ; if not, we will enlarge the hole with the help of scissors.
Finally, we will only have to enter the plug through the central hole of the cable reel and wrap the cable around it and close it with a bow made with the string.
