The coasters They are used to avoid damaging the surface where our drinks or cups are placed. We can make them of many materials. Today I bring you one that the children will love to have their breakfast or snack. It's about this owl made of eva, fomy, foami or microporous rubber.
Materials to make the owl coaster
- Colored eva rubber
- Scissors
- Glue or hot glue gun
- Permanent markers
- Circles eva rubber stamping machines (optional)
- A CD
Step-by-step preparation of the coaster
With the help of the cd mark in eva rubber of two different colors two circles and cut them out.
Place one on top of the other as you see in the photograph. Then put the cd on top of the top circle and trace with a pencil or punch the mark that is in the lower part to be able to make the belly of our owl.
Cut out this pieces and glue them.
To form the owl's eyes I have used two circles that I have made with the eva rubber stamping machines, but if you don't have one, you can do it with plugs or a compass.
Glue the eyes to the previous set to give the appearance of an owl to our work.
With permanent markers of the same shades of the eva rubber I will draw the feathers as if they were waves.
Cut out in orange eva rubber a triangle that will be a peak and taking advantage of the rest of the eva gum from the belly, cut out two pieces that will be the ears of the owl.
With another color that contrasts enough to make it more beautiful, form two pieces in teardrop shapes that will be the alas of the little bird.
To finish our coaster we only have glue the wings and with marker make some details like lines. You can also put some sparkles in the eyes with white marker, paint or eva rubber as has been my case.
And we are done. We have a very original and perfect coaster for the children of the house so that their snacks are more attractive and appetizing. We can also place it on our desk to decorate it or for a notebook, book or whatever we like.
And if you are a fan of owls I leave you these birthday cards. You can also find other models of animals. As I always tell you, imagination to power!
If you do this craft, don't forget to send me a photo through any of my social networks.
See you on the next idea.
