Simple castle with toilet paper rolls

Hello everybody! In today's craft we are going to make a simple castle with toilet paper rolls. This craft serves as the basis for making castles in many ways, with more or less towers and more or less height. So once you know how to do it, you can use your imagination to create your own design.

Do you want to know how you can do it?

Materials that we will need to make our castle with toilet paper rolls

  • Toilet paper rolls, one for each castle area (building, towers ...)
  • Black marker
  • Scissors

Hands on craft

  1. We can do towers of different heights by cutting the rolls of paper hygienic to different measures. To finish off these towers we will make cuts in one of the ends leaving small squares as battlements characteristics of castles. You could also cover these towers with cardboard cones or each tower in a different way. You can paint with markers or temperas each part of the castle.

  1. We draw a door on the roll of paper that will be the base of the castle. We decorate with windows, bars and whatever comes to mind to give it the appearance of a castle. For larger castles we can glue three or four rolls to form the base.

  1. You do not need glue to join the different pieces. We will do it two cuts in the base roll to make a flange where we will fit the towers.
  2. We are joining the towers by fitting them in the tabs until we have assembled the entire castle to our liking.

  1. We can retouch more details once assembled, even glue the base roll to a cardboard platform where we can draw grass, a pit, a bridge ...

And so we can have a perfect castle to make with the little ones in the house, adding more or less difficulty depending on their age.

I hope you cheer up and do this craft to spend an entertaining afternoon with the little ones.
