Hands on craft
You can see how to make this craft in the following video:
- We clean the corks leaving them in boiling water for about ten minutes and let them dry. This step is optional unless they are heavily stained.
- We cut the corks to answer them rather fine, until obtaining eighteen pieces of cork.
- We arrange the pieces by assembling them starting from the center of the snowflake and then the ends. When we have the snowflake with the shape that we like, we begin to glue it. It is advisable to glue the pieces two by two and then stick those pairs of pieces until the figure of the snowflake is well glued.
- We cut a piece of rope, we fold it in half and We glue it with hot silicone on one of the ends to be able to hang our tree ornament. We wait for it to dry.
- To decorate and give a more Christmas touch to our ornament, We are going to cover one side of the ornament with hot silicone and sprinkle baking soda or white salt to create the snow effect. We can simply leave the effect of the hot silicone with glitter if we prefer. We can also put more hot silicone if we want some area to shine more.
- When we're done with a face we repeat the process with the other until we have our adornment complete.
And ready! We can do this craft with the little ones and incorporate the finished ornament to the Christmas tree.
I hope you cheer up and make this craft this Christmas.
