How are you guys doing the week? Are you interested in crafts with Fimo? If so, do not stop reading us because this post will give you a few ideas to make crafts with summer airs.
In the post you will find how to make three rings starting from the same idea, but, you can apply this idea to, for example: necklaces, earrings, key rings, customization of keys, photo frames, etc.
Material
- Polymer clayThe best known is that of the fimo brand, but you can use any other brand. Personally, I like the PREMO.
- A shell to make the highlight effect.
- A cutter square or the way we like it the most.
- Ring bases.
- Glue.
Our Process
We will knead the polymer clay paste and smooth it. Later, with the surface of the shell we will create a relief until we find the combination that we like the most.
As you can see in the photo above, we have created a kind of star and that is the detail that we want to remain on the ring. With a square cutter we have selected the piece and removed the excess.
Then, we will take the piece and We will bake it at 130 degrees for about 15 minutes. Remember that if you leave it too long it will burn and that if you leave the piece for a short time it will not be sufficiently hardened.
Once the pieces of the rings have been baked, we will only have to fix them with glue on the ring bases.
Following the same approach, we have created these other two pieces for rings. One is a simple asymmetrical piece with the shell print and the other is a round piece with the same pattern and we have also added the shell on one side.
As always, we hope that you have liked this tutorial, and above all, that it will be useful to you. We expect your comments and suggestions.
Until the next DIY!
