In this tutorial I teach you to create a fun tic-tac-toe. A game that both children and adults can play, so the smallest of the house can also collaborate in its creation.
Materials
To make the tic-tac-toe you will need the following materials:
- Double layer cardboard (thick)
- Patterned paper
- White glue or glue stick
- Scissors
- Cardboard
- Circular die cutter (optional)
- Stones
- Acrylic paint
- Varnish (optional)
- Brushes
Step by step
To create the dashboard tic-tac-toe Start by cutting the cardboard to the size you want, but it always has to be square, so that all its sides are equal.
Glue the patterned paper to it with white glue or glue stick, and cut off the excess.
To cover the sides, glue a strip of cardboard of the color you want along the entire edge of the cardboard.
With the circular die cutter or scissors, create circles out of construction paper. You must cut nine because they will be the tic-tac-toe squares. Glue the nine circles onto the board you just created.
For the cards you can use whatever you want, but I have chosen to paint stones with children in mind, because it is an activity that they love, they have a great time. Paint and decorate them as you like, and they are also working on fine motor skills, while having fun.
Paint them with acrylic paint or if you prefer you can also use liquid tempera.
If you want to protect them well, apply a layer of varnish of the finish that you want, since it is an object that is going to be used, and playing can deteriorate and damage the paint.
In any case, acrylic paint adheres very well to the stone if it is porous, so if you do not apply the varnish you may not have any problem.
When you have the dry stones you can place them on the board and this will be the result.
You can now start playing with your home board of the tic-tac-toe, and the best of all is that you can design it as you like the most.
