Turn a glass into a candle holder with washi-tape

jar

A year or a couple of years ago, I don't remember very well, the washi tape. But, as with everything, they went out of style and surely it has happened to many and many like me and you have left them buried in a drawer or box waiting for them to become the latest fashion in crafts.

In this post, I wanted to recover the old washi-tapes to make a very simple and decorate glasses to transform them into candle holders. An easy and fantastic tutorial to do with the rest of the family, you will have a good time and you will be able to create an infinite number of geometric drawings that will decorate any corner of the house. What if you get tired of them? easy, you just have to remove the washi-tape and start over.

Material

  • Washi-tape in different colors and patterns.
  • Some glasses.
  • Some candles.

The idea that I show you below to make a candleholder It is the simplest but at the same time it will give a warm air to, for example, a corner of our room that has been devoid of life and visibility.

We will take a glass with an original shapeIn this case, I have obtained a glass that is narrower at the bottom than at the top and with a smooth contour since what I wanted was to make lines with the washi-tape. Once the glass is chosen, we will clean it well with soap and water and then we will dry it so that the washi-tape does not get wet.

Then all we have to do is cut colored strips and place them on the glass carefully so that it is as smooth as possible. Once we have finished with the drawing, we will place a candle inside and we will have the candle holder ready.
