There are different ways to make dream catchers, in this craft we are going to make a simple dream catcher, in which the network of threads forms a star.

Materials that we are going to need
- Un metal hoop the size we prefer, in my case I have decided to recycle a bracelet that I had not used for a long time. If you do not have a metal ring, you can make it with wire or you can make a circle with cardboard.
- Threads or wool of different colors, I recommend using two tones in this type of dreamcatcher so that the final result is more uniform. To wrap the hoop, I recommend a thread that is a little thick or takes a long time to cover the entire hoop.
- Beads, feathers, pendants, everything you have to decorate our dreamcatcher. In my case I have decided to recycle a bracelet and a necklace.
- Scissors and hot glue gun or some strong glue.
Hands on craft
1. The first step is to choose a thread color for the hoop, tie a knot and go passing the thread through the entire hoop until it is covered In its whole. In my case, I decided not to cover it at all because I liked the effect of showing the gold on the bracelet in some areas. We tie the knot and we can secure the knot with a little hot silicone before cutting it.
2. With the same thread we go ha make the strip for which we will later hang the dreamcatcher. In my case, I have put many threads that I have been tying with knots to make it look like a rope.
3. Now we are going to start with the dreamcatcher web. We choose another color of thread and make a knot that we will secure with hot silicone.
4. We start the first round, as seen in the image below. We mentally divide the hoop to make 5 lines with the thread.
5. We finish the round in the same place we started and stretch the thread well.
6. We make a second round, in the same way, passing the thread in each of the lines of thread that we have made in the first round. We end up in the same place again and start again by doing another lap. If you want to put decorations, see step 7.
7. If we want to put beads or pearls or some kind of ornament In the dream catcher, this second round is the perfect time to do it. We pass the ornament through the thread before making the return on the corresponding side, we turn around and re-pass the thread through the ornament and we pull to tighten the thread. You can see the process below:
8. We continue doing laps in the same way, in my case I have only put decorations on the second lap, but if you want you can put decorations on each lap except the last one since we will put a ball in the center. On the last lap, pTo close the center, we make a last pass like knitting, from top to bottom and pull to join the threads until we get a small hole the approximate size of the ball that we have chosen.
9. We go through the thread the little ball and we continue weaving to secure it in the center before tying a knot that we can secure with a little hot silicone. Since we are with the silicone, we are going to see if it is necessary to secure any more part of the dreamcatcher. For example I put together the threads where the turns begin and end.
10. We take a fine thread of the same tone as the ring and we are going to repeat the whole process of the previous thread, but in this case we will not put ornaments. This is optional, but it gives a very cool touch, especially if we choose a light and a dark thread.
11. Now it's time to arrange the threads hanging from the dream catcher. We can make braids, put ornaments, feathers, knots, whatever you can think of.
